On this week’s show, James and Aaron Brabham chat with Ylon Schwartz: poker champion, chess master, and gamer extraordinaire.

He is without a doubt one of the most intriguing characters you’re ever likely to encounter…

College Dropout Who Has Never Had a Real Job Wins Million in Cash at the Poker Table…

If you watched the 2008 World Series of Poker, you may remember Ylon Schwartz and his trademark curly locks…

The day before the championship, Ylon was drowning in debt and in trouble with the law back in his hometown of New York City. From rock bottom, he redirected years of frustrations about money and women, channeling it towards winning the game…
… and walked out of the Las Vegas Rio Casino with a cool .7 million in his pocket.

In fact, Ylon has won an estimated million in cash, just from playing poker. Not bad for a college dropout who has never held a job.

Today, he’s one of the most widely recognized and well-respected poker players in the world.

When James and Ylon first met, they bonded as two city-kids with a mutual passion for chess. They’d spend their afternoons playing against New York University hotshots, a brilliant homeless man named “Falafel,” who is one of the best backgammon players in the world, or anyone with a big enough ego to strike up a game.

James cashed out at ,000, but Ylon went on to earn ,000 from chess alone. But the two have much more in common than a love for games and gambling…

They’re both smart, prone to both failure and success, and determined to live a life other people only dream of. As Ylon points out, the people getting ridiculously rich in today’s economy no longer work in corner offices. The rules have changed. Just a degree isn’t going to get you very far… and success is certainly not a matter of luck.

You’ve got to hustle.

And Ylon says it’s not as hard are you think…As you’ll hear in this episode, Ylon believes there are about 10 life decisions a person MUST make in order to become outrageously successful.
Other things you’ll learn when you listen to this show include:

** How emotion can get in the way of prosperity, and the best way to overcome it.
** The importance of failing at something before you succeed, and the ideal time you should spend “failing.”
** How Ylon is investing his million these days. He was no star student, but his investments have been spot on…
** What Ylon believes really separates a moderately successful person from a true champion…
** How surprisingly good things can happen when freedom is threatened…

Like James Altucher, Ylon Schwartz is a quirky, interesting guy, who’s become a huge success by thinking outside the box.
And this is what James Altucher’s show is all about…
How to have a better life… make more money… have more fun… start a profitable business… make great investments… accomplish your dreams by ignoring conventional wisdom and following proven alternative paths.
It will definitely help you look at the world in a new and insightful way.
